Mass of Thanksgiving to mark Bishop Larry Duffy’s Golden Jubilee of Priesthood will be celebrated in St Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan on Sunday 14 June at 3pm. Every parish is asked to have representation at this Mass. Everyone welcome. Refreshments afterwards in the Hillgrove Hotel.
This year, 3 young Donagh parishioners will travel to Lourdes to help those pilgrims who need assistance during the Clogher diocesan trip. These young ladies have been preparing all year under the direction of Clogher don Óige, where over 70 young people from across the diocese have volunteered.
There are some petition sheets at the back of St Patrick’s, St Mary’s and Donagh Oratory and everyone is most welcome to make a petition. Please return to the box provided before Friday 26th June. All petitions will be presented at the Grotto in Lourdes during the pilgrimage in July.
For all pilgrims travelling to Lourdes there will be meetings to collect your travel packs on Wednesday 24th June in Parish Centre Lisnaskea at 8pm and on Thursday 25th June in St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre Monaghan at 8pm. Light refreshments will be served, and it will be an opportunity to discuss final travel arrangements. For further information contact John Hueston at 048 677 24329.
The National judges will be secretly visiting Glaslough and Emyvale any day now! Both committees wish to thank everyone who have been volunteering, local businesses and all who help in any way. Keep up the momentum for the next couple of weeks.
You are invited to participate in the second N2 Litter Pick, with Emyvale Tidy Towns and Aughnacloy Development, on Saturday, 4th July. Groups with be leaving each town at 11am and will walk to the N2 Picnic Area for lunch, which is being kindly provided by Truagh Spirit. Clogher don Óige will host a Summer Camp under the patronage of Carlo Acutis at St. Joseph’s Pastoral Centre, Monaghan, from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th July 2026, running daily from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This promises to be an engaging “Carlo Camp” filled with fun, faith, and friendship, specially designed for children aged 10 to 13 years. The cost is €15 per child. and we are very proud to say that one of our own parishioners is taking part – Padraig Kelly from Stramore will travel to Santry and will complete in the 100m athletics competition and also the Javlin throwing. We wish Padraig and all his fellow competitors the best of luck, including Eamonn Brummitt, Ballinode. Good luck boys!!!!!!
Orla Drumgoole of Irish Mammy Cooks is speaking at the Oakland Community Centre on Thursday June 18th at 7.30 pm on Preventing Food Waste. Tickets are free but people need to register on Eventbrite so we have an idea of numbers expected.
Line Dancing: Classes will be in the Emyvale Leisure Centre for the remaining Wednesdays in June at 8.15pm. Adults €10, students €5. Every very welcome.
